Our school holiday workshops are all about trying something new, getting creative and having fun! Each workshop explores different materials and techniques, with makers taking home something awesome they’ve created themselves.
All materials included – just bring your imagination!
MINECRAFT MOSAICS
Calling all Minecraft fans! Get ready to turn those iconic pixelated designs into your very own colourful mosaic.
Makers will plan their design before using colourful mosaic tiles to create a Minecraft-inspired artwork on a wooden base. Choose a favourite character, creature, block or object, then build it tile by tile before finishing it off with grout for the full mosaic effect.
A fun, hands-on workshop combining creativity, colour and plenty of Minecraft inspiration — with an awesome mosaic artwork to take home and display!

PAINT YOUR OWN DENIM JACKET
Design it. Paint it. Wear it.
Turn your favourite denim into a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art!
Inspired by the bold and playful work of young artist, Alf Barbel Wit, makers will explore colour, pattern, symbols and expressive mark-making before designing their own unique jacket.
Using fabric paints and paint pens, they'll layer vibrant colours, quirky details and personal touches to create a piece that's completely their own.
Bring along a denim jacket and we'll provide everything else. At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with an original artwork you can actually wear!

FLURO CACTUS
Bold colour. Cool cacti. Maximum pop!
Get ready to turn up the colour!
Makers will create their own vibrant cactus canvas using bold acrylics, fluorescent paints and paint pens. We’ll build up colourful cactus shapes before adding patterns, dots, lines and quirky details to make each artwork completely unique. To finish, makers will add bright mixed-media flowers for an extra pop of colour and texture.

CREATIVE HALF DAY
Four hours. Three projects. Loads of creativity!
Spend the morning making, experimenting and getting creative with three very different art projects!
Makers will paint and pattern wooden beads before turning them into their own colourful jewellery, discover the traditional Mexican folk art of hojalata by embossing and painting designs onto metal, and journey into outer space with Intergalactic Collage.
With time for a morning tea break in between, it’s a fun-filled morning of painting, making, mixed media and exploring new techniques — with a collection of unique creations to take home!
